Geography:
Located at the entrance of the Gulf of Mexico, the Cuban
archipelago is formed by the Island of Cuba, the Youth's Island and
approximately 4 195 keys and islets. Near 140 kilometers separate it
from the Bahamas; 77 from Haiti; 180 from Florida; 210 from Cancun;
and 146 from Jamaica.
The silhouette of
Cuba, elongated and narrow, is 1 200 kilometers long and betwen 32
and 145 kilometers wide. In total, the territory comprises 110 922
square kilometers, that distinguishes it as the largest of the
Antilles.

Although the Cuban Peso is the national currency; to pay all the
tourist services in the Country the
Convertible Peso. The
Convertible Peso circulates with the following denomination: 1, 5, 10, 20 and
50 Pesos. The Cuban Peso has
100 cents. Ciculate Notes of 1, 3, 5, 10, 20 and 50 Pesos, and coins
of 1 and 3 Pesos, also pieces of 1, 2, 5 and 20 cents. The Euros
circulates in the tourist poles
of Varadero, Holguín and Jardines del Rey.
